Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Export Manager to join our team and drive our international sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG food exports, with a proven track record of success in expanding into new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement export strategies to drive sales growth in target markets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and conduct market research to understand consumer needs and preferences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international distributors and customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage pricing and terms of trade agreements.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and market trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to international markets.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for export sales.
  • Stay up to date with international trade regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Represent the company at international trade shows and events.
  • Train and develop export sales team members to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to maintain relationships and gather market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop promotional strategies for international markets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Food market background is a must.
  • Experience in African markets is highly required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG food exports, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of international markets and trade regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding into new markets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
