We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sales and Bidding Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and securing new business opportunities through successful bidding strategies. As a Sales and Bidding Manager, you will combine technical expertise with sales acumen to understand client requirements, develop technical proposals, and support the sales team in achieving revenue targets.
**How you’ll make an impact?**
- **Sales Support**:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and technical requirements for bidding purposes.
- Conduct technical assessments of client specifications, drawings, and project documentation to develop accurate and competitive proposals.
- Prepare technical proposals, including technical write-ups, cost estimates, and project schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company capabilities.
- Provide technical expertise and support during client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to address client concerns and demonstrate the value of our solutions.
- Assist in the development of sales strategies and tactics to maximize the conversion of bids into successful contracts.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products, services, and industry trends to effectively communicate their value to potential clients.
- **Bidding Management**:
- Lead the bidding process, including bid identification, bid/no-bid evaluations, and bid strategy development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management, to gather the necessary information and resources for preparing bids.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analysis to support bid decision-making.
- Prepare and submit high-quality bid documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements, technical standards, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to review bids for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.
- Track and analyze bidding performance, including win/loss ratios, pricing trends, and market dynamics, to identify areas for improvement.
- **Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and industry contacts to foster business opportunities and enhance the company's reputation.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs, provide technical advice, and propose innovative solutions.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences to promote the company's capabilities and generate leads.
- **Continuous Improvement**:
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to sales and bidding engineering.
- Proactively identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales and bidding processes.
- Contribute to the development of sales and marketing collateral, technical documentation, and case studies to support business development activities.
**What you bring?**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience of 3+ years in sales support and bidding engineering, preferably in Energy Services industry.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and propose viable solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of bidding processes, contract management, and commercial terms.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, project management tools, and other relevant sales and bidding software.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Willingness to travel as required.
