- Merchants. We are democratizing the social e-commerce space by enabling budding as well as seasoned entrepreneurs to sell online with no required capital, inventory, or operational experience. We have our Merchants covered from merchandising, warehousing, shipping, cash collection and customer service.

In 2019 we started as a team of 8 people, now we are over 350 employees across Egypt, KSA and the UAE. We serve more than 34K social e-commerce sellers from incredibly diverse backgrounds - from students earning a part-time income to highly ambitious digital marketing experts looking to become solo entrepreneurs. The sellers on our platform benefit from access to 2,500+ highly marketable products. Our people are driven by our mission and motivated by our desire to deliver the most seamless customer experience to the sellers on our platform. With a continuous focus on quality and execution, we are changing the social e-commerce landscape in the MENA region

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic team at Taager. In this role, you will play a crucial role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and contributing to the continued growth of our platform.

**What you will do**:

- **Market research and analysis**: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor strategies.
- **Merchant outreach and relationship building**: Proactively identify and reach out to potential merchant, negotiate mutually beneficial terms, and establish strong, long-lasting partnerships.
- **Merchant Management**: Oversee existing merchant relationships, ensuring efficient communication, timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and mutually beneficial agreements.
- **Lead and manage the sales pipeline**: Manage all stages of the sales pipeline, from initial contact to deal closure, utilizing CRM tools and effective follow-up strategies.
- **Track and analyze data**: Track key metrics related to sales performance, merchant performance, and market trends, generating insightful reports to inform strategic decision-making.
- **Stay up to date on industry trends**: Proactively research and stay abreast of the latest e-commerce and drop-shipping industry trends, recommending adjustments to strategies as needed.
- **Support marketing and sales campaigns**: collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement joint campaigns that drive traffic, engagement, and sales.

**What will make you successful**:

- 2-4 years of experience in business development or a related field, preferably within the e-commerce industry.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify market opportunities and analyze data effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders (suppliers, colleagues, clients).
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with a track record of securing favorable deals.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software is a plus.
- Understanding of drop-shipping business models and a passion for e-commerce.
- Strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and a willingness to take initiative.
