We have our Merchants covered from merchandising, warehousing, shipping, cash collection and customer service.
In 2019 we started as a team of 8 people, now we are over 350 employees across Egypt, KSA and the UAE. We serve more than 34K social e-commerce sellers from incredibly diverse backgrounds - from students earning a part-time income to highly ambitious digital marketing experts looking to become solo entrepreneurs. The sellers on our platform benefit from access to 2,500+ highly marketable products. We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic team at Taager. In this role, you will play a crucial role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and contributing to the continued growth of our platform.
**What you will do**:
- **Market research and analysis**: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor strategies.
- **Merchant outreach and relationship building**: Proactively identify and reach out to potential merchant, negotiate mutually beneficial terms, and establish strong, long-lasting partnerships.
- **Merchant Management**: Oversee existing merchant relationships, ensuring efficient communication, timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and mutually beneficial agreements.
- **Lead and manage the sales pipeline**: Manage all stages of the sales pipeline, from initial contact to deal closure, utilizing CRM tools and effective follow-up strategies.
- **Track and analyze data**: Track key metrics related to sales performance, merchant performance, and market trends, generating insightful reports to inform strategic decision-making.
- **Stay up to date on industry trends**: Proactively research and stay abreast of the latest e-commerce and drop-shipping industry trends, recommending adjustments to strategies as needed.
- **Support marketing and sales campaigns**: collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement joint campaigns that drive traffic, engagement, and sales.
**What will make you successful**:
- 2-4 years of experience in business development or a related field, preferably within the e-commerce industry.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify market opportunities and analyze data effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders (suppliers, colleagues, clients).
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with a track record of securing favorable deals.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software is a plus.
- Understanding of drop-shipping business models and a passion for e-commerce.
- Strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and a willingness to take initiative.
