Support engineer JD:
Implementation and support engineer will own end to end customer communication for customer deployments and support requests, liaise with resolving teams and maintain delivering requests within SLAs.
I&S engineers will provide support to all Ciena innovation products and ensure customers requested are fulfilled in timely manner with the required quality.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work under Ciena Project manager directions and provide timely updates to the customer and relevant stakeholders
- Manage customer deployments activities and liaise with concerned development teams to get work done
- Administrate user access requests
- Triage customer and end user tickets and transfer tickets to the right development team.
- Follow up with development teams on raised issues until resolution
- Manage customer and end users communication and keep them up to date with progress
- Provide weekly reporting on tickets and deployments activities to the program manager
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to open source software usage and management
- Conducting research and keeping up-to-date with emerging open source technologies and advancements
- Managing access to open source software repositories and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements
