Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager to manage and develop our business within the Modern Trade channel (supermarkets and hypermarkets). The primary responsibility is to achieve sales targets, increase market share, and build strong, long-term relationships with key accounts. The ideal candidate will be the main point of contact for these clients, ensuring optimal product visibility, availability, and effective in-store promotions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Management & Target Achievement:
Achieve or exceed agreed sales and market share targets for the assigned key accounts.
Develop and implement strategic account plans and sales strategies for each client.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
Prepare and deliver compelling business reviews and product presentations to clients.
- Key Account Management & Relationship Building:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., buyers, merchandisers, category managers) at leading supermarket and hypermarket chains.
Act as the primary liaison between the company and the client for all commercial activities.
Negotiate trading terms, annual contracts, and promotional agreements.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise with clients promptly and professionally.
- Distribution & Supply Chain Management:
Ensure continuous product availability on shelves and prevent out-of-stock situations.
Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Monitor and improve key distribution performance indicators (e.g., inventory levels, stock turnover).
- In-Store Execution & Visibility:
Plan, negotiate, and execute impactful in-store promotions and activations.
Secure optimal shelf placement and visibility (e.g., prime shelf location, point-of-sale displays) for all products.
Ensure high standards of merchandising and planogram compliance are maintained in all stores.
Monitor competitors' activities, pricing, and promotions to ensure our competitiveness.
- Financial & Administrative Duties:
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on payments in coordination with the finance department.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, account activities, and promotional effectiveness for management.
Manage the allocated promotional budget for key accounts efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales or key account management.
Must have proven experience working with Modern Trade channels (e.g., Carrefour, Hyperone, Spinneys, Kheir Zaman, etc.).
Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred; candidates from FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) will also be considered.
