Job Summary
El Gouna Film Festival is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Events Director to oversee all events and manage the Events Department. This is a project-based onsite temporary role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop a clear growth strategy and targets for the Events team with the Festival Executive Director.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets for key events to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Oversee departmental staff, ensuring effective training and management of volunteer staff and outside contractors.
  • Coordinate and supervise all GFF external events to ensure smooth execution and excellent customer experience.
  • Negotiate and sign contracts with third-party vendors in a timely and professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Collaborate with the Sponsorship team to meet revenue goals and sponsor requirements.
  • Collect and analyze attendance, ticket, and feedback information to inform future event planning.
  • Manage and record post-event data to ensure accurate budget reconciliation and closure.


Requirements



  • 7+ years of event experience, preferably in entertainment fields, with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team.
  • Proven track record of successful event management, with excellent judgment and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, executives, and high-profile talent.
