On-Trade Sales Manager

Job Purpose

The main goal of this role is to oversee the daily operations of On-Trade & distributors by effectively allocating trade budgets to enhance market share and drive volume growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer Relations:
  • Maintains and nurtures relationships with current and potential customers through various means of communication.
  • Addresses and resolves customer issues efficiently.
  • Collaborates with the legal department to establish customer and distributor contracts.
  • Builds strong relationships with key customers.
  • Develops distribution and customer profiles to optimize distribution management.

Team Management:

  • Supervises on-trade management team and interacts with district and zone managers regularly.
  • Enforces company policies and ensures attainment of business objectives.
  • Conducts weekly and monthly meetings with team members and sales leadership to share progress and insights.
  • Collaborates with the Trade Marketing team to offer support and create activation schedules.
  • Inspires and guides the team by setting ambitious goals and providing feedback and coaching.
  • Tracks employee leaves and ensures compliance with the annual leave plan.
  • Sets monthly targets for the team in terms of volume and key performance indicators.

Strategy and Ventures:

  • Explores new business opportunities, builds relationships, and finalizes deals with clients to expand the company's footprint.
  • Identifies new markets, arranges meetings with potential clients, and conducts market research to drive growth.
  • Leverages Al Ahram Beverages Company's innovations in the On-Trade sector while aligning with the commercial strategy.
  • Keeps an eye on competitors' strategies and takes necessary actions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manages credits effectively to support the company's financial stability.
  • Evaluates market position and takes steps to ensure a strong market presence.
  • Collaborates with the marketing department to introduce new products and innovations regularly.
  • Gathers market insights on consumer behavior, product trends, and competition.
  • Oversees team activities related to activations, promotions, and sales performance.

Sales:

  • Negotiates contract terms and closes sales deals successfully.
  • Develops, implements, and assesses sales strategies while aligning with marketing objectives.
  • Monitors sales data and market trends to forecast company performance and adjust pricing strategies.
  • Sets and reviews sales targets for zone and district managers, ensuring consistent performance evaluation.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory authorities.
  • Expands market share responsibly.
  • Manages trade margins effectively to balance profitability and market requirements.
  • Sets channel priorities to focus efforts for maximum impact.
