Electrical Technical BIM Team Leader
to oversee and manage the Electrical BIM team, ensure accurate and efficient BIM model production, and support project delivery across multiple large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical systems, advanced BIM skills, and leadership capabilities to guide a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Electrical BIM team to deliver high-quality models according to project requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate BIM activities with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure full model integration.
  • Review, update, and approve Electrical BIM models, drawings, and shop drawings.
  • Develop and maintain BIM standards, workflows, and execution plans aligned with UCC's project objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to BIM engineers, modelers, and site teams.
  • Ensure all electrical designs comply with local codes, international standards, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, design managers, and construction teams for smooth project execution.
  • Conduct clash detection, resolve conflicts, and ensure coordination accuracy in Navisworks/Revit.
  • Generate electrical documentation including schedules, BOQs, and detailed drawings from BIM models.
  • Participate in progress meetings and report BIM status and issues to project stakeholders.
  • Lead BIM training sessions and support team development to enhance technical capabilities.
  • Ensure quality control and continuous improvement of BIM processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Electrical Engineering
    or related field.
  • Minimum
    7–10 years
    of experience in Electrical BIM within construction or MEP contracting.
  • Proven experience leading BIM teams in large-scale or mega projects.
  • Strong proficiency in
    Revit
    ,
    Navisworks
    ,
    AutoCAD
    , and BIM coordination tools.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems (lighting, power, ELV, grounding, etc.).
  • Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), LOD requirements, and ISO 19650 standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in GCC or large international projects.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo or BIM automation tools is a plus.
  • Familiar with Primavera, BIM 360, or similar collaboration platforms.
