We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Design Team Lead
to join our project delivery team for high-rise residential towers and luxury hospitality developments in New Cairo, Egypt. This role offers the opportunity to lead and coordinate all electrical design aspects, ensuring compliance with international standards, client requirements, and project deadlines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with
BIM workflows
, have worked in leading consultancy environments, and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead the electrical design team from concept through detailed design to IFC documentation.
  • Coordinate electrical design deliverables with other disciplines (mechanical, structural, architectural, etc.).
  • Ensure designs meet client specifications, local authority regulations, and international codes.

Design & Technical Expertise

  • Prepare, review, and approve electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, ELV systems, and building automation.
  • Oversee the integration of BIM models for electrical systems and ensure design data accuracy.
  • Conduct load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection in accordance with project requirements.

Project Management

  • Manage project timelines, resources, and design budgets.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to resolve design issues.

Quality & Compliance

  • Implement QA/QC procedures for all design documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local Egyptian codes, Dubai developer standards, and international best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Electrical Engineering
    (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum
    10 years
    of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a
    lead or senior design role
    .
  • Proven track record working with
    consultancies
    on
    high-rise residential and hospitality projects
    .
  • Strong experience in
    BIM (Revit MEP)
    and related coordination tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of
    international electrical codes
    (IEC, NFPA, BS, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines under pressure.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in BIM Management is a plus.
  • Experience working with Dubai-based developers or international design studios.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
