Lead Electrical Engineer

Work Location : Cairo, Egypt.

Responsibilities:

  1. FUNCTIONALRESPONSIBILITIES

  2. Coordinates with Senior Electrical Engineers to ensure correct implementation of the project design and coordinates the work of engineers within his specialty.

  3. Prepares and reviews electrical engineering studies, design drawings, calculations and documents, and material and equipment specifications.
  4. Reviews and approves specifications and materials requisition for purchase of electrical materials and equipment.
  5. Resolves specialty related electrical engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
  6. Provides for the value engineering solutions for products through creative design and by applying up-to-date design solutions, techniques, approaches, methods, and technology.
  7. Analyzes problems and determines critical factors for investigation.
  8. Organizes and conducts investigations and analysis.
  9. Participates in the development of new electrical engineering methods.
  10. Provides expert advice on design processes or construction methods.
  11. Approves significant changes in specifications and plans, work techniques and materials.
  12. Determines and schedules work priorities.
  13. Prepares electrical engineering proposals estimates.
  14. Ensures quality plans are implemented.
  15. Maintains control of project expenditures to avoid cost overruns.
  16. Provides for the accomplishment of team objectives through timely completion of assigned objectives.

AUTHORITY/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides technical guidance to co-workers.
  • Proposes staffing solutions and training and development opportunities.
  • Organizes and supervises work of a large group of professionals and non-professionals, or small groups of highly specialized engineers.
  • Provides input into performance evaluations and makes recommendations on staffing activities.
  • Being accountable for unit deliverables.
  • Approves timesheets.

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering and registered as a professional engineer with significant experience of 15 years.
  • Has experience in the oil / gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and is recognized as specialist in electrical engineering field on large to mega projects.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of electrical engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
