Pathfinder International is seeking a Youth Engagement Advisor for the newly USAID-funded OSRA program. The OSRA program is five-year Pathfinder-led USAID-funded project. The goal of the OSRA program is to improve family health outcomes by reinforcing the national family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) program in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP). The OSRA program will achieve this purpose through the three pivotal results: 1) Women’s and men’s uptake and continuation of voluntary family planning services increased; 2) Youth equipped with knowledge and skills necessary to make healthy life choices; and 3) Gender dynamics improved for enhanced voluntary family planning and reproductive health outcomes. The OSRA program will closely collaborate with different local stakeholders and other Government of Egypt (GOE) entities to attain its results.

**Job Summary**: The Youth Engagement Advisor will work closely with the Positive Youth Development Team Lead (PYD) to provide technical assistance to design, implement and monitor integrated youth FP/RH activities at the health service and community levels. The Youth Engagement Advisor will contribute to the design/ adaptation, implementation and monitoring of age
- and life stage tailored youth FP/RH behaviour change activities under the OSRA program. S/he will work with the OSRA SBC and Youth teams to developing interventions and innovative approaches that will increase meaningful youth engagement to address youth’s needs and realities and better equip youth for current and future community leadership. The Youth Engagement Advisor will ensure that interventions use best practices to engage youth in the program and provide strategic technical guidance on youth integration to project staff, government officials, and community stakeholders project partners and stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supports the PYD Team Lead to design appropriate age
- and life stage-tailored youth behavior change activities to reach youth with FP/RH/GBV information and address social norms that present barriers to healthy behaviors and FP use.
- Provides technical support to partners and ensures all youth plans and activities are properly coordinated with other OSRA activities and with government/NGO partners.
- Supports the PYD Team Lead to ensure that project activities address youth considerations, and that project activities specifically address the needs of diverse youth populations.
- Develops action plans for youth-led social accountability approaches.
- In collaboration with the PYD Team Lead, contributes to the development of annual work plans and budgets, with attention to youth dimensions of technical activities.
- Engages available and active youth networks and organizations as well as key community influencers and leaders in the planning and implementation of project activities and local solutions.
- Identifies, analyzes, and presents new areas of future development for the youth programming results.
- Develops appropriate youth resources and tools and coordinates integration of key messages from ongoing campaigns or programs to increase demand among youth populations.
- Ensures high quality deliverables are implemented and fulfil our obligations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Monitors quality and progress of the youth activities across different implementation sites.
- Under the supervision of the PYD Team Lead, documents project successes, lessons and results related to all youth activities.
- Supports capacity of partner organizations to strengthen ability to implement youth focused community-based demand generation and norms-shifting activities.
- Builds capacity of project staff, using proven training approaches, mentorship and quality improvement strategies to improve service delivery and quality.
- Supports replication and scaling up of youth activities.
- Under the supervision of the YPD Team Lead, supports the development of youth M&E indicators, and work with MEL staff to implement M&E plans, including Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA).
- Works closely with partners, MEL and field implementation teams on monitoring the project activities.
- In Collaboration with PYD Team Lead, establishes and maintains partnerships with government and community stakeholders at the local level.
- Contributes to development and submission of program implementation periodic reports, ensuring that all donor reports are produced on time and are of a consistently high quality.
- Review implementing partners’ reports, and provide advice on the youth programming and activities’ development
- Support in the development of risk mitigation, reporting and escalating plan for the Positive Youth Programming.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
