**This role & opportunity**

Join Weavr as an Onboarding Officer based in Malta and become a cornerstone in fortifying the company's unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients. Reporting directly to the Senior Compliance Officer, you will serve as a linchpin in ensuring operational compliance, thereby cementing Weavr's reputation for integrity and reliability. Your role will entail a diverse array of responsibilities, including conducting meticulous customer due diligence for both legal entities and individuals, implementing robust enhanced due diligence measures, performing comprehensive risk assessments, promptly identifying and addressing any irregular or suspicious activities, and actively contributing to the refinement and enhancement of reports, policies, and procedures.

As a Onboarding Officer at Weavr, your role holds significant importance in driving the company's success. By meticulously ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and diligently assessing risk factors, you will directly contribute to Weavr's ability to maintain its reputation for exceptional service delivery. Your efforts will not only enhance the overall operational effectiveness of the compliance team but also reinforce Weavr's position as a trusted partner for its Customers, who we like to call “Embedders”. In essence, your role will be instrumental in shaping Weavr's continued growth and success within the industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Performing Risk Assessments and Verifications**: Ensure thorough risk assessments and verifications align with company policies, mitigating potential threats and maintaining compliance.
- ** Keeping Customer Risk Assessment and Verification Processes Up-to-Date**:Maintain current risk assessment and verification procedures for legal entities and individuals to adapt to evolving risks and ensure effective due diligence.
- ** Reviewing SOF and SOW Documentation**:Thoroughly review Source of Funds (SOF) and Source of Wealth (SOW) documentation to validate financial transactions and prevent illicit activities.
- ** Managing Escalations, Alerts, and Queries**:Efficiently handle escalations, alerts, and queries throughout the customer lifecycle to promptly address compliance issues and suspicious activities.
- ** Assisting in Implementing Compliance Measures**:Support the implementation of measures to ensure compliance with AML laws, demonstrating a commitment to ethical business practices.
- ** Staying Updated on Legislative and Regulatory Changes**:Stay informed about legislative changes in AML and Compliance to adapt practices and maintain compliance standards.
- ** Conducting KYB/C, Sanction, AML and PEP Checks**:Conduct necessary checks to assess client risk profiles and mitigate financial crime threats.
- ** Maintaining Accurate Records for Audits**:Maintain accurate records for audits, demonstrating transparency and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- ** Informing Other Departments of Regulatory Requirements**:Communicate regulatory requirements to other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance across the organisation.
- ** Preparing Reports and Summarising Information**:Prepare reports and summaries to monitor compliance data and facilitate informed decision-making.
- ** Supporting Business in Achieving Compliance**:Support the business in achieving and sustaining compliance with current and future regulations.
- ** Escalating Issues to Management**:Escalate compliance issues to management promptly to address potential risks effectively.
- ** Contributing to Team Efforts**:Contribute to team efforts to accomplish compliance objectives efficiently within Weavr's compliance team.

**About You**
- ** Demonstrate Solid Experience in KYB and KYC Verification**:Having a strong background in Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Customer (KYC) verification across various jurisdictions is crucial for ensuring thorough due diligence and compliance with regulatory requirements.
