Description

Leading KENVUE Consumer Health commercial agenda in the Horn of Africa subcluster (Libya, Sudan, South Sudan, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea & Somalia). Responsible for developing and delivering the strategic business plan for this region, while managing the distributors to design and execute the business plan. Engaging with the different stakeholders to implement the optimal ways of working and achieve growth for the business.

***Drive operational excellence with all distributors and direct customers oversight cash collection, order negotiation, forecast accuracy, inventory health, claims &DN review, contractual agreements & compliance.

Overall responsibility to deliver the financial commitment by month by quarter and full year;
- Full P&L accountability (Gross Trade Sales down to Operating Income)
- Deliver NTS$ target with a robust demand forecast aligned to the inventory goals and contractual agreements
- Build a solid business plan aligned to the marketing brand strategy and designed to deliver the correct GP and market share target by brand, category, and channel
- Ensuring the KENVUE brand portfolio has the optimal coverage, pricing, and distribution strategy
- Ensure that the in-store standards and must-stock list are clearly articulated and executed by the distributors
- Ensuring that any operational efficiencies are maximized e.g. margins, carrying costs & infrastructure

**Business Plan Management**
- Create a regional roadmap with the distributors stating a clear vision and mission-aligned to the company roadmap and the markets’ strategic plan
- Create the right tools, and reports to monitor ongoing performance
- Work with local counsel to ensure that the strategy and operations are 100% in compliance with KENVUE’s code of business conduct, HCC requirements, and OFAC guidelines
- Assessing and validating new business opportunities in the region
- Resolving commercial issues that arise e.g. parallel imports, luggage business, competition heavy promotions, international payments & product availability.

**Distributor Management**
- Align the distributor business partners to deliver the plan with the right coverage model in Egypt & Horn of Africa.
- Ensure adherence to payment terms across Egypt & Horn of Africa.
- Lead the distributor S&OP cycle to drive excellence in forecast accuracy across Egypt & Horn of Africa..
- Lead order negotiation with distributors.
- Lead contract negotiation with distributors across Egypt & Horn of Africa.
- Create and align with the organization and distributor the appropriate reporting formats e.g. dashboards, retail audits, investment trackers, and forecasting across Egypt & Horn of Africa.
- Ensure that the distributor has the right capabilities to drive the KENVUE growth agenda
- Manage different distributors’ business models for the Horn of Africa, including sales plans, marketing budgeting, forecasting, and market spending vs. commercial arrangements achieving targeted profitability.
- Developing distributor performance and route-to-market strategies while setting business KPls, including market intelligence and display shares in the Horn of Africa.

**Cost & Operational Efficiency**
- Build a clearly defined cost structure covering all aspects of the distributor go to market model
- Recognize the drivers of costs and develop plans jointly with the distributor to improve efficiency

**People Management**
- Guide the distributors on capability building via the right recruitment.
- Manage key stakeholders to ensure that they are aware of developments across all aspects of the business
- Engage the critical enabler functions; supply chain, marketing, finance, QA, regulatory, and shopper to ensure that you have a full cross-functional plan with clear accountabilities and responsibilities with a unified goal

**Cross-functional working**
- Work as a key member of the customer and commercial function to share best practices and provide support to colleagues to improve business efficiency and growth

Connecting with internal business stakeholders to ensure best-in-class internal operations (finance, logistics, legal, regulatory, and marketing)

**Main performance measures (Performance Goals)**
- Horn of Africa business performance vs. business plan (NTS, STT, GP, IBT).
- Operational Excellence KPIs for all direct customers in Egypt & Horn of Africa (DSO, MAPE/BIAS, Inventory Health Score, SLOB)
- Efficient & Effective Spending.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Post-graduate education, or equivalent experience in Finance/Economics is desirable.
- Years of Experience: 7+ years in a mix of commercial roles including customer, and trade marketing roles
- Wholesale or in-direct distributor management.
- Experience in a multinational or regional company preferably FMCG/Consumer health or OTC working in field sales, key accounts, and category or s
