**Project Summary**

***The USAID/Egypt Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Activity (EVAW/G) activity aims to improve prevention of and response to all forms of violence against women and girls.

**Position Summary**

The VAWG Prevention and Response Team Lead will provide expertise and leadership in the development of programs to identify and address the root causes of VAWG, including but not limited to early and seasonal marriage, female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) and domestic violence, as well as integrate gender equity initiatives into the project. The Team Lead also develops gender-centered programming to build the capacity of country stakeholders (including national, provincial/governorate and local governments and partner organizations).

**Strategic Technical Leadership**
- Co-lead strategic planning and work planning toward realistic and donor-responsive implementation.
- Continuously evaluate project progress towards achieving objectives.
- Be fully conversant on global evidence-based practices. Responsible for continuous quality assurance across VAW/G activities.
- Provide technical leadership to project staff and partners in support of project objectives. Builds capacity of local partners and CSO.
- Collaborate with Pathfinder global support staff and all partners to ensure programming aligns with agency mission and vision and that project best practices and lessons learned are shared for agency-wide dissemination. Lead and contribute to Activity CLA agenda and program learning documentation.

**Program Management**
- Lead the successful programmatic and technical implementation of activities that are developmentally appropriate and address the different needs of boys and girls, and men and women.
- Support the monitoring of project progress vis-a-vis expected objectives, utilizing tools and methods developed by Pathfinder, and ensuring effective usage of resources and compliance with donor requirements.
- Oversee subgrantees/subcontractors ensuring quality implementation of programming and achievement of agreed upon objectives and targets in accordance with established schedules and timelines.
- Document technical components of materials and project achievements for communications materials such as annual reports, brochures, and website updates.
- Identify, select, manage performance of, and mentor project staff ensuring professional and capacity building; facilitate necessary international technical assistance to promote project goals and objectives.
- Ensure linkages and coordination with social development counterparts, other USAID-funded activities in Egypt, and other partners in the public and private sector.

**Required Education, Training and Experience**:

- An advanced degree in in gender studies, international development, social sciences, or a related area.
- A minimum of 8 years senior-level experience in gender analysis and integration in large internationally funded gender programs.
- Previous experience working in Egypt.

**Required Job-Specific Competencies**:

- Technical Leadership: Demonstrated expert knowledge of Do No Harm principles, safeguarding, prevention and response side interventions to address VAW/G. Mastery of safe reporting and VAW/G data collection and documentation practices. CQI/A approaches and mechanisms for VAW/G response services.
- Program Management: Experience in program management and administration, financial management, award compliance and sub award management, and tracking activity performance and costs.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills in working collaboratively with other donors, host country institutions, and international organizations.
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated depth and breadth of relevant technical expertise and experience, interpersonal skills and professional relationships.
- Management and Supervision: Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop direct reports within a matrix culture.
- Operations and Financial Management: Deep knowledge of operations and financial management on a donor funded project.
