**Purpose of the job**
Specialized role is to ensure the seamless integration, efficient utilization, and effective management of benchmarking tools and related systems. By providing technical support, training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of processes, this role ensures accurate data collection, reliable analysis, and valuable reporting for both ongoing projects and stakeholders. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the quality and integrity of telecommunication benchmarking activities, ultimately contributing to the optimization and enhancement of network performance and customer experience.
**Duties and responsibilities**
- Responsible for the end-to-end process of testing BM tool delivery, including setup, configuration, and integration with the system's activities.
- Ensure the accurate validation of testing tool results to guarantee their seamless integration into the system.
- Provide daily on-site support to guide and assist team members in using benchmarking tools effectively.
- Address benchmark tool-related queries promptly to enhance job execution and field data collection.
- Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve various testing tool-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Act as the first and second line of support for hardware and software-related issues, resolving problems to prevent disruptions.
- Proactively identify unresolved issues and collaborate with suppliers to initiate timely ticketing and follow-ups for resolution.
- Organize comprehensive on-site training sessions to empower team members in the optimal utilization of testing tools and data collection techniques.
- Focus on enhancing Team skills by organizing regular comprehensive on-site trainings sessions in tools like TEMS PARAGON, TEMS Pocket, and TEMS Discovery, along with analysis methodologies.
- Continuously create, adapt, and refine drive test scripts to align with evolving testing methodologies and project requirements.
- Enhance testing efficiency and accuracy by keeping scripts up-to-date and optimized.
- Daily support and contribute to post-processing analysis by providing valuable recommendations derived from tool's information elements.
- Ensure accurate reporting of results and the detection of genuine network issues while preventing the dissemination of misleading information.
- Develop and generate daily automated benchmarking reports, incorporating new metrics and information elements.
- Strengthen post-processing project effectiveness by providing relevant insights, required automated reports for regular and new stakeholders' needs.
- Responsible for the entire post-processing server ecosystem, ensuring smooth operation through project handling, integration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Manage SQL database aspects, including scope definition, project creation, and maintaining workflow integrity.
- Assume responsibility for regular systems upgrades and maintenance activities for both benchmarking tools and post-processing components.
- Responsible to Guarantee an up-to-date and efficient testing environment to support ongoing operations.
- Initiate technical tickets to address discrepancies in post-processing KPI results with suppliers, facilitate thorough investigation, and ensure prompt feedback within tight timeframes to minimize disruptions to workflow
**Job specification**
**Education**
Bachelor's or Master degree in Telecommunications, Faculty of engineering
Project Management Certification is a plus
**Experience**
7-8 years experience in the Telecommunication field.
**Skills and abilities**
- Strong understanding of telecommunication networks, protocols, and various technologies
- Possess a profound understanding of various network technologies including 2G, 3G, LTE, VoLTE, and OTT with a solid grasp of key metrics at different layers (Layer 2, Layer 3, etc.). Additional knowledge of 5G is a notable advantage.
- Mastery expertise in handling similar projects with the Proficiency shown with Infovista benchmarking tools measurements tools such as TEMS PARAGON, TEMS Pocket, besides TEMS Discovery.
- Proven expertise in handling similar projects, encompassing BM tools implementation, validation, and ensuring server functionality to meet defined objectives, showcases a comprehensive skill set that aligns well with the responsibilities of the On-Site Support Telecommunication Benchmarking Measurements Tools Specialist
- Familiarity with ticketing systems used to log, track, and manage technical issues with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) for managing and querying databases.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., C++, Python, PowerShell) to automate tasks/reports and enhance efficiency in managing benchmarking tools and systems.
