U-Turn is hiring an Accounting Manager With a background in Fashion Retail is a Must .

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager in a fashion retail environment is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the retail store or chain, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and managing accounting processes. This role requires strong financial management skills, an understanding of retail operations, and the ability to work closely with other departments such as sales, inventory, and procurement to ensure financial health and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee inventory accounting processes, including stock valuation, inventory reconciliation, and cost of goods sold (COGS).


• Work with the inventory and purchasing departments to ensure accurate cost calculations and reporting of goods sold, considering markdowns, shrinkage, and returns.


• Provide insights into profitability by analyzing product performance, pricing strategies, and cost control initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:


• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is preferred.


• Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity within a fashion retail environment.


• Retail Experience: Strong understanding of retail accounting practices, including inventory control, sales tax, and retail-specific financial metrics.


• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.


• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Location: Moqattam.
