Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Director, located in Cairo, Egypt. The Tax Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing all tax-related tasks including tax compliance, tax preparation, and ensuring adherence to tax laws. The individual will also provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients. Collaboration with the accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting and staying updated with the latest changes in tax legislation are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead the Egypt tax advisory and compliance practice within Tickmark Accounting Firm.

·       Advise clients on Egyptian income tax, VAT, stamp duty, payroll tax, and transfer pricing.

·       Manage and review corporate tax returns, filings, and appeals for clients in multiple industries.

·       Represent clients before the Egyptian Tax Authority during audits, disputes, and settlements.

·       Provide tax planning strategies to optimize structures for family businesses, SMEs, and investors.

·       Develop and mentor a growing tax team.

Qualifications:

·       ESAA is required (CPA, ACCA strongly preferred).

·       Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Law (Master's is a plus).

Experience:

·       Minimum 10 years of solid Egypt tax experience, ideally with Big Four or top Tax firms.

·       Proven expertise in Egyptian corporate tax, VAT, and tax authority procedures.

·       Strong knowledge of transfer pricing and cross-border tax planning a plus.

Skills & Attributes:

·       Strong technical command of Egypt's tax law and practice.

·       Excellent negotiation and client management skills.

·       Leadership mindset with ability to grow a tax practice.
