The
Factory Manager
oversees all operations of the garment manufacturing facility — including production planning, quality control, manpower management, maintenance, and cost efficiency. The goal is to ensure that garments are produced
on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management

  • Plan, organize, and control all production processes from cutting to packing.
  • Ensure production targets, deadlines, and shipment schedules are met.
  • Monitor daily production performance and address bottlenecks or delays.
  • Coordinate with the merchandising, planning, and procurement departments to ensure material availability and workflow continuity.


Quality Assurance

  • Ensure strict adherence to quality standards at every stage of production.
  • Implement quality control systems and supervise QA/QC teams.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to minimize rework and wastage.
  • Handle buyer quality visits and audits professionally.


People Management

  • Lead, train, and supervise production supervisors, line chiefs, and workers.
  • Motivate teams to achieve efficiency and maintain discipline on the factory floor.
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and labor performance.


Cost & Efficiency Control

  • Monitor material consumption, minimize waste, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Control overtime, utility costs, and process inefficiencies.
  • Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets and cost targets.


Maintenance & Compliance

  • Oversee maintenance of machinery, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the factory complies with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws, buyer codes of conduct, and ethical sourcing policies.


Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and efficiency reports.
  • Attend management meetings and present key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Textile Engineering, Garment Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years
    of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least
    3–5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of
    cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing
    processes.
  • Excellent understanding of
    production planning, quality control, and compliance
    standards (ISO, WRAP, SEDEX, etc.).
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP/Production Management Systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
