The company specializes in water treatment plants, oil and gas services, and is the agent and distributor for major companies in Egypt, including Pump Work, DXP, and Wilo Pumps. The company also has a branch in Saudi Arabia under the name of Taqniet Tiba.

Role Description:

Tiba Engineering Institution is seeking a full-time Mechanical Technical Office Engineer for an onsite role located in Cairo, Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, planning, and design of mechanical engineering projects. Day-to-day tasks include performing calculations, creating technical drawings and documents, and conducting site inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Study the project documents, drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities to coordinate the technical aspects of the project and support the Technical office manager in all technical and commercial issues to the benefit of the organization.
  • Preparing and following up on technical and material submitting till obtaining approvals from the Engineering consultant.
  • Prepare and issue requests for information and follow up on the feedback of the Engineering consultants.
  • Prepare quantity survey reports and material takeoff and coordinate with the procurement team the delivery of relative items promptly.
  • Participating in progress meetings, proposing, discussing, and acquiring approval on technical proposals.
  • Prepare cost estimates and cost breakdowns for different activities.
  • Monitor changes, identify variation orders, and report the same to the Technical office Manager and support in preparing and acquiring approval on the related cost breakdown.
  • Support the Technical office manager in the selection process of subcontractors and suppliers for projects and prepare subcontractors' payments based on the site progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering is a MUST
  • 5-7 years experience in Technical office and all activities related to Mechanical works for Water and Wastewater Treatment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
