Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer
to oversee and manage the technical coordination of mechanical systems across our projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong design review capabilities, deep knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection), and excellent coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, compliance, and timely delivery of all mechanical works from a technical office perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review mechanical design drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
  • Provide technical support and coordination with site execution teams.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical) to resolve design clashes and ensure integration.
  • Review material submittals, Shop drawings, RFI's, method statements, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical input during procurement processes (e.g., vendor evaluation).
  • Ensure all mechanical work complies with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Attend technical meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients as required.
  • Assist in value engineering and optimization of mechanical systems.
  • Support in preparing as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers in the department.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of
    7–10 years
    of experience in a similar role, preferably within a consulting or large-scale project environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems: HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, and MS Office. Knowledge of Navisworks is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of local and international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting abilities in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
