1. Planning Responsibilities


• Develop Project Schedules:


• Create baseline project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.


• Define work breakdown structure (WBS) and activity coding.


• Progress Monitoring:


• Track and report progress against the approved schedule.


• Update schedules periodically to reflect actual progress and forecast delays.


• Coordination with Teams:


• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align planning efforts.


• Ensure all stakeholders are aware of timelines and constraints.


• Delay Analysis:


• Analyze delays and determine their impact on the critical path.


• Assist in extension of time (EOT) claims with proper documentation.

2. Cost Control Responsibilities


• Budget Preparation:


• Assist in preparing project budgets and cost estimates.


• Break down costs by discipline (civil, MEP, etc.), work package, or activity.


• Cost Monitoring:


• Monitor actual costs against budgets (cost vs. value reconciliation).


• Track expenditures and identify cost overruns or savings.


• Forecasting:


• Forecast final project costs and cash flow requirements.


• Provide periodic cost reports to project management.


• Change Management:


• Evaluate cost impact of variations, changes, or delays.


• Maintain records of approved and pending variations.

• Reporting:


• Prepare weekly and monthly progress and cost reports.


• Present project performance in terms of time and cost (earned value analysis, S-curve, etc.).
