Job Summary

The Senior Cost Controller will be responsible for leading all cost analysis and reporting activities, ensuring accurate cost allocation, budget monitoring, and financial performance tracking. This role requires strong analytical skills, solid financial reporting capabilities, and experience in cost structures within FMCG, cement, or medical manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Control & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze production costs, material consumption, overheads, and variances.
  • Ensure accurate cost allocation across departments, product lines, and projects.
  • Conduct monthly cost reviews and provide insights on deviations from budget and standard costs.
  • Perform margin analysis, product cost analysis, and profitability studies.

Financial Reporting & Forecasting

  • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management.
  • Develop dashboards and performance KPIs related to cost, efficiency, and budget adherence.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, rolling forecasts, and cost planning cycles.
  • Ensure timely closing of cost accounting activities in coordination with finance teams.

Inventory & Production Monitoring

  • Oversee inventory valuation, cost roll-ups, and BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy.
  • Monitor material price changes and assess cost impact on products.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and production to understand cost drivers and improve cost efficiency.

Audit & Compliance

  • Support internal and external audits related to cost accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies, IFRS/GAAP, and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of cost control experience
    , preferably in
    FMCG, Cement, or Medical devices/pharmaceutical
    manufacturing.
  • Strong reporting and financial analysis background.
  • Excellent command of Excel, costing systems, and ERP applications (SAP / Oracle / Odoo / JD Edwards).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle large datasets.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and support senior management with decision-making insights.
