Cost Control Team Leader
Responsibilities
- Lead the cost control team in monitoring project budgets, forecasting expenditures, and ensuring alignment with project financial targets.
- Develop, review, and update cost control procedures, cost reports, cash flow projections, and variance analyses across all project phases.
- Coordinate with project managers, planning, procurement, and finance teams to validate cost data and ensure accurate cost tracking.
- Analyze project performance, identify cost deviations, and recommend corrective actions to maintain budget compliance.
- Review subcontractor and supplier invoices, quantities, and change orders to ensure accuracy before final approval.
- Prepare periodic financial dashboards, executive cost summaries, and KPI reports for senior management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, PMP) are an advantage.
- 7–10 years of proven experience in cost control within the construction industry, with solid knowledge of project budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong command of cost control methodologies, cost analysis, and financial reporting for large-scale construction projects.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and project control software (Primavera P6, MS Excel—advanced level).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor cost control teams.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities, capable of working effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams.
