Role Description

The Specification Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and effective preparation of technical specifications and documentation for a variety of projects. This role involves working closely with various departments to provide comprehensive specifications for products or systems, ensuring they meet all quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

- Specification Development: Create detailed technical specifications for products or systems based on project requirements.

- Review and Analysis: Evaluate existing specifications, identify areas for improvement, and update them to ensure compliance with industry standards.

-Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product designers, and quality assurance, to ensure specifications align with project goals.

-Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with industry regulations and standards to ensure all specifications adhere to legal and quality requirements.

-Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all specifications and related documents.

-Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control to ensure specifications meet quality standards and conduct tests and inspections as needed.

-Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the company's products or systems to provide relevant input into specification development.

- Problem Solving: Address and resolve specification-related issues and discrepancies as they arise during project development.

- Communication: Communicate specification changes and updates to relevant stakeholders and teams.

- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains in the specification development process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • (1:3) years of Experience in specification development or a similar role, preferably in the
    building materials
    field.
  • Owns a car.
