Role Description

The Specification Engineer's main purpose is building relationships with architects, designers, and contractors to increase product demand, conducting product presentations, and providing technical support throughout the sales cycle. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, supporting sales and marketing efforts, and providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. The Specification Sales Engineer works closely with internal teams, and clients like Architects and Engineers. Secure specifications, vendor list approvals, and enhance overall customer satisfaction while contributing to the company's revenue growth and market presence.

Qualifications

-  Work closely with customers, identify key decision makers, and build trusted business relationships with influencers and specifiers such as designers, architects, Design build Contractors, specification writers, owners/Developers to increase preference and demand for BEAM materials and solutions.

-  Assist Architectural and Design Professional customers with design consulting and product selections to complete their projects.

-  Influence product specifications consistent with the BEAM's Product Plan that have a high likelihood of generating sales and ROI for the company by actively tracking projects in the early design stages to influence the specification.

-  Provide timely and accurate technical information for product specifications.

-  Identify and propose optimal technical solutions that meet project and designer requirements.

-  Schedule regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms using the proper presentation tools to clarify information i. e., product samples, power point presentation programs, and appropriate literature to provide education on product and system characteristics.

-  Prepare and modify specifications using appropriate specification formats such as CSI.

-  Maintain active communication with all project stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the supply stage.

Coordinate with the technical team to prepare project specific proposals tailormade to projects being worked on with Architects / Engineer

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in
    civil
    or
    architectural
    engineering.
  • 5-7
    Years Experience in Building Material
    Specification /
    T
    echnical Sales selling to Architects / Engineers.
  • Experience in preparing technical presentations, proposals, and tender documents.
  • Familiarity with sales processes, commercial negotiations, and account management.
  • Own a car (
