About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on accounting leader who can step in immediately and take full responsibility for the Accounts Department in Egypt. The ideal candidate should be strong operationally, detail-oriented, and able to manage a fast-moving environment. It is important that he has experience working with accounting across multiple countries, and is comfortable coordinating and consolidating financials from different jurisdictions.

Experience in rewards and loyalty programs is a major plus, especially in areas related to merchant settlements, reconciliations, and partner financial operations.

A key part of the role is the review, monitoring, and consolidation of financials for Egypt and abroad, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting under IFRS. The person must be able to manage monthly and quarterly consolidation cycles and coordinate smoothly with finance teams outside Egypt.

Strong knowledge of Zoho Books is preferred. If not, the candidate should be able to learn it quickly. A solid ERP background (Oracle, SAP, Odoo, Dynamics) adds value.

Role Summary

A senior accounting professional to lead the Accounts Department in Egypt and support accounting activities for entities abroad. The role includes full responsibility for IFRS-based consolidation, multi-country coordination, and the month-end and quarter-end closing cycles. Experience with merchant-related reconciliations in loyalty or fintech environments is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

– Lead AP, AR, GL, Treasury, and Payroll operations

– Manage all accounting work on Zoho Books

– Oversee merchant settlements and reconciliations

– Review and monitor accounting across Egypt and abroad

– Prepare consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)

– Manage intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries

– Ensure consistent reporting and IFRS alignment across entities

– Implement internal controls and approval workflows

– Handle VAT, Corporate Tax, WHT, Stamp Tax, and cross-border tax matters

– Lead external audits and prepare supporting schedules

– Provide monthly reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, variances) directly to the Group CFO

Qualifications

– 7–12 years of accounting and consolidation experience

– Must have experience managing accounting for multiple countries

– Strong hands-on accounting background

– Proficient in Zoho Books or able to learn it quickly

– ERP experience is a plus

– Experience in loyalty programs, fintech, or merchant settlement processes is preferred

– Strong IFRS consolidation experience

– Solid knowledge of Egyptian tax laws

– Strong in audits, internal controls, and transfer pricing

– Excellent English and communication skills

Compensation

Market rate, with flexibility to offer above-market packages for highly qualified candidates.
