**Result 2 Team Lead**

***Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
The primary responsibilities of the Result2 Team Lead are to ensure that target private and public sector TSIs, through capacity building activities, are providing demand-driven export services to their members and NEEREs in a sustainable manner and, in so doing, to achieve project targets, particularly increasing export revenue of TSI member companies benefiting from new and improved services, collectively, by 30%.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Oversee and direct all technical activities under Result 2 of the project.
- Lead strategy development for improving the performance of private and public TSIs, based on international best practices, and translating strategy into actionable activities.
- Manage and oversee all staff under the result and contribute to the development of scopes of work, for both long
- and short-term consultants, and project activities.
- Lead development and implementation of annual project work plan activities under Result 2, in close coordination with Result 1 and 3 leads and other team members.
- Ensure that climate change considerations are incorporated in all aspects of Result 2.
- Ensure that sustainability is considered in each and every activity of Result 2 and built into planning and implementation.
- Share results and contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning with project leadership, Palladium, and USAID.
- Contribute to developing and implementing gender and social inclusion strategies for Result 2 activities.
- Contribute to effective internal and external project communication related to Result 2.
- Represent the project at public events and meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project Chief of Party.

**Required Qualifications**:

- An advanced degree in a relevant field such as business administration, commerce, economics, finance, or other relevant or equivalent field (Master’s preferred).
- 20+ years of experience in export oriented economic development, with a focus on TRADE target sectors.
- Demonstrated experience, preferably internationally, working with Trade Support Institutions (TSIs), particularly Export Councils and excellent command of international best practices in export promotion.
- Demonstrated success in institutional capacity building, including governmental and non-governmental institutions.
- Knowledge of the Egyptian trade/export market a plus.
- Excellent client and relationship management skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English required. Spoken and written fluency in Arabic strongly preferred.

**Project Overview and Role**:
USAID’s Trade Reform and Development in Egypt (TRADE) project builds on decades of U.S. investments in Egyptian businesses and economic policy with the aim of substantially increasing Egyptian exports from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The TRADE project focuses on six selected sectors: engineering products, food processing, home têxtiles, ready-made garments, chemicals, and building materials. Through the project, USAID works with the Government of Egypt to improve the trade and investment policy environment and reduce barriers to trade. USAID also partners with business associations and export councils to strengthen the trade services ecosystem for small
- and medium-sized exporters, as well as with private companies to help them access new international markets to increase export sales. TRADE tackles many trade and investment-related issues to sustainably increase Egyptian exports and drive economic growth.
