Manage and lead the supply chain operations and team for Mashreq Region.
- Manage the Customer Service and Logistics Operational teams administratively and operationally including individual development and demonstrating BASF employee management policies.
- Manage the operational team to optimise resources and maximise effective supply chain service.
- Providing guidance, support and coaching to the team members; while building and contributing to their development plans.
- Coordinate back-up in times of staff shortages. Lead improvement/localization projects through the facilitation of the teams.

**Logistical Services Scope**:

- Overlooking critical Logistics KPIs of 3PL service providers such as the timely processing of customs clearance, inventory receipts and dispatches at agreed service levels, ensure safety standards are maintained and cost targets achieved.
- Manage the distribution processes physical movement and 3PL invoicing verification across Egypt & Mashreq.
- Implement and report internal & external supply chain operational performance measures.
- Monitor 3PL provider performance against agreed service levels, generate KPI’s, and provide regular management reports.
- Follow up deviations from standard with 3PL operators.
- Maintain Quality System policies and procedures relating to 3PL provider operations, identify service failures, raise corrective actions and manage non-conformance reporting process.
- Maintain SAP master data related to logístical operations.
- Governance of stock control processes for Egypt & Mashreq - 3PL and BASF sites
- Process Review Ensure all business policies, processes and procedures are adequately documented.
- Determine effectiveness of system management and control; identify opportunities to improve system performance in support of the organization’s business strategy.
- Recommend, evaluate and implement areas for improving warehouse & transport services providing improved efficiencies and reduced logístical costs.
- Conduct periodic audits of 3PL facilities to ensure compliance with BASF requirements and effective implementation of Responsible Care and Product Stewardship policies.
- Adherence to and compliance with all BASF guidelines and procedures.
- Provision of advice to marketing with respect to ways to reduce costs to BASF yet still maintain the same or improved standard of customer service.
- Follow up queries from Account Managers with respect to new business or negotiating better rates in return for increased volumes.

**OTC Scope**:

- Ensure a customer focused business environment, taking BASF’s business interests into account while ensuring that the entire back-office team’s processes - from customer order receipt to payment receipt - are well established and maintained.
- Ensuring critical KPI’s are tracked, met and improved (in case of deficiencies)
- Adherence to and compliance with all BASF guidelines and procedures.
- Strong collaboration with Regional and Global SC teams to ensure smooth SC Operations within Egypt and Mashreq.
- Close Review of new governmental regulations to ensure compliance with internal BASF guidelines and cascading to key stakeholders.
- Periodical meetings with the Commercial Team, Credit Risk & Finance teams to ensure and forecast potential challenges and manage forecasts and upfront business opportunities.
- Delivering periodical results/ dashboards’ updates to the Management team.
- Handling key findings derived from Customer Surveys/ complains

**E**d**u**cation and **Q**u**alifica**t**ion **R**e**q**ui**r**ements**:

- A proven ability to operate and manage a diversified team, in a highly matrixed organization structure
- Strong experience in managing Supply Chain Operations, Logistics and Order to Cash
- The ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with other teams.
- 10 years’ experience in diversified supply chain operations
- Able to handle and manage ad hoc crises
- A hands-on approach, flexibility and the ability to work at pace with a strong work ethic.
- Must be fluent in English; having excellent communication skills.
