**JOB TITLE**: MENA HSSE Business Partner

**DEPARTMENT**: HSSE

**REPORTING TO**: Head of HSSE Department

**LOCATION**: MENEA (Egypt)

**ADDITIONAL INFO**: Travel within the MENEA region will be required.

**PURPOSE OF POSITION**

The prime objective for the MENA HSSE Business Partner is to implement organizational safety policies and programs. Conduct and oversee internal and external audits and conduct risk assessments to detect potential hazards. The MENA HSSE Business Partner will also be responsible for driving a safe culture and researching trends in the region; proactively implementing risk-mitigation measures, including pandemics.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Health, Safety and Environmental**
- Deployment and maintenance of safety policies and procedures.
- Annual alignment of MENEA HSE to GVR MEA Targets.
- Provide a service to all parts of the MENEA region who require HSE support.
- Manage the Incident Investigations process to ensure timely report out.
- Coordinate the MENEA HSE Network.
- Support or attend industry and client meetings as required.
- Provision of 1st and 2nd line Technical Operations Support to dedicated structures and customers
- Schedule and co-ordinate HSE training for employees and contractors
- Monitor NMPIs and build communication campaigns around the outcomes

**Compliance**
- Plan and participate in the annual audit plan and conducting Management System audits annually.
- Compile monthly HSE statistics, to be consolidated to overall business HSE statistics
- Ensure all legal appointments are made
- Sustainment of the Company’s Quality Management System
- Compliance with annual Quality Management System audits
- Maintain the HSE Legal Register for the company and communicate any major changes.
- Active use of VBS to carry out continuous improvement priorities
- Implementation and Sustainment of Technical and Quality Standard Work
- Adherence to internal SLAs
- Issue non-compliance
- Sign off contractor approvals
- Technical corrective measures
- Investigations on Contractors and Technicians

**Budgeting**
- Management of HSE cost within the region
- In conjunction with Procurement ensure quality HSE PPE for the region

**DELAGATION OF AUTHORITY**

As per Board-approved DOA and as necessary for functions outside the DOA.

As delegated by the HSE Lead MEA, when necessary.

**PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**

**Education/achievements**

University degree (Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health)

**Experience/Knowledge**

**Required**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- In depth knowledge of the country HSSE legislation
- Regulations in the forecourt, mining and fleet environment
- Knowledgeable and experienced in risk assessments and audits processes
- Industry experience

**Preferred**
- Experience in Project Management
