Solar Turbines is currently searching for a Sales Manager for Power Generation in Africa to be based in Cairo, Egypt.

As part of the Power Generation sales team, you will have a great opportunity to work with developers, energy service companies, investor-owned utilities, municipalities, industrial sites (i.e. papermills, ceramics, food processing) and EPC companies active in the energy industry, on infrastructure projects, transmission/distribution solutions, data centers and combined heat and power solutions.

As a Sales Manager, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and developing good relationship with local clients in the assigned area. You’ll win business and contribute to the strategic plan of market penetration selling products, services, parts, solutions and/or projects.

You will have both direct technical and commercial sales responsibility for Solar turbomachinery systems within an assigned geographic area. As Sales Manager, you will coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager to prepare commercial and technical proposals and represent the company in negotiations with potential customers. You’ll coordinate resources in Project Application Engineering (PAE), Project Management, Customer Services, Construction Services, Contracts and Finance departments, as well as others, to respond to customer needs, to finalize the contract or purchase order and meet customer expectations.

How You’ll Make a Difference
- Promote Power Generation solutions and sales coverage in the assigned area.
- Maintain long-term, strategic relationships with key customers.
- Build and execute sales strategies.
- Serve as a single point of contact to strategic customers, leading technical and commercial negotiations with a consultative based selling to industries, utilities, independent power producers, developers, EPCs etc...

What You’ll Need to Make a Difference
- Extensive travel it is required within the assigned territory, 75% of time being expected.
- Ability to function in a multicultural environment in multiple languages:

- English is a must.
- Arabic is a must.
- Other languages are a strong plus (i.e. French, Spanish, Italian etc )
- Flexibility to deal with fast paced, ever shifting conditions and challenges.
- Have a strong technical background in turbomachinery and, possibly, Combined Heat & Power solutions.
- An MBA is not mandatory but is an asset.
- Must demonstrate strong presentation skills and the ability to function well under pressure.
- Very strong negotiations experience is necessary, along with the ability to represent the company positively and with confidence even under pressure and adversity.
- Must demonstrate a great ability to connect cross culturally as well as cross functionally and to lead others in customer relations.
