**Summary**: VES is looking for a **Field Sales Representative** to join our team in **Cairo, Egypt** location. This person will be responsible for Travelling throughout assigned territory to make sales calls on customers & agents working in the area. Ensures that customer expectations are met or exceeded. Follows company safety policies and procedures.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following**: Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares quotes for potential orders. Uses guidelines for pricing, discounts, national contracts, agreements, or special pricing and an understanding of cost and profit to make decisions.
- Identifies customer requirements and provides sound product recommendations. Gives technical advice, service, and support for customer well requirements. Demonstrates products as appropriate. Solicits and delivers orders.
- Answers inquiries from customers regarding service, deliveries, and invoicing. Resolves customer issues promptly. Follows up with customers on past due receivables if required.
- Prepares documentation and system transactions relating to sales such as quotes, sales orders, consigned orders, shipments, billing, and inventory availability.
- Prepares monthly sales, inventory, and expense reporting. Supports sales colleagues.
**Education and/or Experience**:
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Typically, at least two years of sales experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with ability to maintain an acceptable driving record in line with company requirements.
- Knowledge of the drilling industry, trends, and general business and financial acumen.
- Knowledge of general office and sales practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of drilling equipment used in assigned territory.
- Knowledge of customer operations in assigned territory preferred.
- Understanding of business terms such as market complexity, gross margin, pricing, supply and demand, and their relationship to the success of profit generation.
- Ability to demonstrate a track record of customer service, negotiation, and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely in English & Egyptian.
