**Job Description Summary**: This Leader will be responsible for Greater Europe, Middle East and Africa Region.

This role executes internal audits and transactional testing in accordance with Customs regulations, the internal GE Audit Standards, and adherence to the Enterprise Standard. They drive corrective actions and improvements for compliance. Based on these results, this role communicates with businesses and Customs Operations Teams to implement controls or correct as needed based on audit results. This role also provides data for Operational Metric Management.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Perform Internal Audits of Customs operations & procedures. Publish results and track corrective actions to closure by conducting root-cause analysis.
- Lead and co-ordinate External Customs Audits in region. Be the face of GE in these Audits.
- Co-partner with Customs Operation Teams in region to develop procedures/SOP’s for managing & improving custom’s processes & compliances.
- Conducting Due Diligences on 3rd Party vendors to be engaged for customs operations & activities.
- Work with various business stakeholders to provide guidance on Customs procedures and policies. Also train biz teams as needed on customs regulations.
- Supporting Initiatives of the company to Standardize/Simplify/Digitize procedures in customs space. Participate in other Lean projects as needed.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an Accredited university or college with solid work experience in Customs or Foreign Trade.
- Extensive experience in customs processes & procedures in a reputed organization.
- In-country Professional Customs Diploma/ Degree Certification or Accreditation.
- Worked with Customs Brokers or consulting firms in a compliance/Audit role.
- Holds a qualified broker certification or equivalent issued from Customs department.
- Arabic/French/German language is preferred

- Demonstrated ability to analyze, articulate and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan and execute programs independently.
- Established project management skills.
- Self-starter, proactive and able to work independently with mínimal direction.
- Demonstrated Compliance and Audit background skillset.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
- Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization. Experience working in a matrix structured organization.
- Proven ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments as planned
- Experience working in the Med-Teck Healthcare industry
- Six Sigma Green Belt certified and knowledge of basic Lean concepts
- Supply Chain ERP systems other digital Tool’s expertise (Oracle/Order management/Tableau/Smartsheet etc.)
