**Head of Compliance - Cairo, Egypt**

**dopay **is looking for an enthusiastic and driven **Head of Compliance** in Egypt to join its Group Compliance & Regulatory team. You will play a key role in shaping and developing our system of compliance and regulation in Egypt which will provide a platform for replication across other countries in the region as the business expands. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious professional to work at a fast-growing fintech company and advance their career.

You will report to the Country Manager Egypt and the Group Head of Compliance to facilitate regulatory compliance and help protect dopay’s reputation.

**About the team**

Compliance is a key team that ensure dopay’s products and processes meet the regulatory requirements and translate this into the best customer outcomes. This is a new role in Egypt, so it provides an exciting opportunity for someone to work closely with the Group Head of Compliance to develop, implement and operate our local regulatory compliance strategies.

**Requirements**:
**What you will do**
- Ensure the business teams have an up to date understanding of the business context in which we operate (i.e. regulatory and contractually imposed regulations, industry standards, anti-bribery and corruption laws, terrorist financing, our code of conduct, etc.)
- Shape and develop dopay’s system of compliance and regulation, particularly in relation to delivering customer outcomes. This includes helping deliver the training program, reviewing marketing communications, assessing risks with new products and processes, reviewing control performance and conducting deep dives into effectiveness
- Advising business on new compliance requirements and related controls
- Identifying regulatory issues proactively and recommending remedies to promote compliance
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required
- Creating, assessing, and implementing policies
- Compliance monitoring and reporting on our business’ and our customers’ activities
- Manage and improve the case management system and work with the department heads to ensure training and awareness is in place
- Provide regular reporting on case status to Country Manager Egypt and Group Head of Compliance

**What you will need**
- 5+ years’ compliance experience with payments, prepaid cards and/or deposits in Egypt
- Knowledge of how to conduct regulatory gap analysis, policy creating and implementation
- Strong understanding of interplay between compliance risk and business risk
- Ability to communicate in simple language how (new) regulations impact our business products
- Exceptional analytical, investigative, and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Arabic
