Presales Engineer

**Overview**
One of our key clients is seeking to add a Presales Engineer to their dream team in Egypt. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading company in connectivity infrastructure.
Presales Technical Engineer is responsible for delivering comprehensive technical and solution support to the sales team with the full presales cycle from initial engagement through solution design, tender support, and handover to project execution teams.
**Responsibilities**
Presales Support & Solution Design
- Engage with customers, consultants, and channel partners to gather project requirements, interpret technical specifications, and propose optimal structured cabling solutions.
- Develop detailed solution designs including single-line diagrams, network topologies, Visio drawings, and layout schematics.
- Prepare and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates in collaboration with the sales team.
- Ensure all proposed solutions are compliant with relevant standards _(TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, EN)_ and manufacturer specifications.
Tender & Proposal Support
- Review RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents; prepare compliance matrices and deviation lists.
- Create high-quality technical submittals, datasheets, and method statements tailored to project requirements.
- Collaborate with sales to ensure proposals are technically sound and competitively positioned.
- Liaise with HQ engineering and product management teams for special configurations or non-standard requirements.
Demonstrations & Proof of Concept
- Assist in mock-up preparation, sample board creation, and demonstration kit management.
Cross-Functional & Supplier Collaboration
- Work closely with supply chain teams to address technical gaps or customization needs for the MEA region.
- Coordinate with suppliers for product compliance, certification, and special design requests.
- Post and maintain technical data, certifications, and compliance documents on RACE, MEA websites, and internal knowledge platforms.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in structured cabling presales, preferably with a manufacturer or large system integrator.
- Strong knowledge of copper and fiber optic systems, pathways, racks, and intelligent infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in Visio, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite is an added value.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Pay: E£25,000.00 - E£40,000.00 per month
