**Logistics Manager Ivory Coast**:
Bunge is extending its business to the Ivory Coast, and we are currently building up a brand-new team. We are looking for a Logistic Manager to be part of that exciting expansion.

**The role**:
In this role you will become **responsible for all the logistic aspects of** Shea Nuts and Shea Butter in the Ivory Coast (and possible other surrounding countries in the future).

When the team has been settled (3 Logistic Officers) they will fall under your responsibility. You will coordinate, manage, and optimize( the reception, storage and export of Shea nuts and Shea Butter (Bulk and containers). Furthermore you supervise and own the internal and external export, the logistics of storage, loading and unloading activities in the harbour related to Shea.

You will manage the accurate storage and stock control and keep the department's operational documentation up to date.

**Continuous improvement** is always on your mind: technical and economic feasibility of new projects, efficiency, cost control and analysis, logistics budget management analysis of critical issues and working processes in order to optimize procedures, times, costs and safety. Identifying new business initiatives and projects and negotiating with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability is part of that continuous improvement.

Priority is that you make sure that all activities are in compliance with the Safety and Environmental rules but also with import/export regulations/custom & harbor regulations and health and safety requirements. **Safety first, and doing what is right is what we stand for**

This position reports to the Supply Chain Cluster Manager, situated in Abidjan.

**Who are you?****:

- Bachelor in Supply Chain Management / Logistics or any other related field;
- A few years of relevant industrial operation and knowledge of logistic processes; Due to the containerized cargo aspect experience in the shipping industry is also welcome;
- 3+ years in a coordination / management role;
- Knowledge on vegetable oils and fats industry is helpful;
- You understand how Bulk load is handled; This may be another product (Liquid or Solid f.e.);
- Good digital literacy, Sap systems knowledge would be an added advantage;
- Excellent French and English language skills are must;
- Residing in the area of Abidjan or willing to move there;
- Willingness to travel (our head office is located in Tema, Ghana)

You enjoy operations and have a taste for being in the field. In general you have a principled demeanour towards procedures and quality standards. You desire to be autonomous in your work and you have good decision-making skills.

You are able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and have a desire to win at all costs. You always act as a leader and keep a sense of humor in the face of stress.

A self-starter mentality, who detects and initiates improvement opportunities and can connect with colleagues, suppliers and partners.
