Job Purpose

Specializes in the preparation, review, and coordination of detailed shop drawings and Reinforcement that are used in the construction phase for all elements not limited to footing, columns, slabs, RW,etc compliance with design specifications and project requirements using the Revit and able to create QS from model 

Key Accountability Areas

• Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring that the civil engineering team remains aligned with the project's goals

•  Design Development: Develop detailed shop drawings for various construction components (e.g., structural elements, foundations, etc

•  Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring shop drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards

•  Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with architects, other engineers to integrate various design elements and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts

• Quality Assurance: Conducting quality checks and reviews of civil shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and project requirements. Include all required dimensions, materials, installation methods, and other technical information

•  Documentation: Maintaining accurate and organized documentation related to civil shop drawings, including design specifications, materials lists, and revision history

•  Project Coordination: Coordinating with project managers and other engineering teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration

•  Continuous Improvement: Staying updated on advance design software, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve skills and workflows.    

Role Accountability

•  BIM Modeling and Analysis: Create detailed/Shop drawings using the   REVIT Program

•  Project Planning and Feasibility: Assess project feasibility considering factors like site conditions, environmental impact, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints

•  Accuracy and Precision: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all technical drawings is paramount,must adhere to industry standards and specifications to produce drawings that are reliable and consistent

•  Interpretation of Specifications: Must interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and technical documents accurately to translate them into detailed drawings

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with the project and implement mitigation measures

•  Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication with engineers, designers to clarify requirements, address issues, and ensure alignment throughout the design process

•  Innovation and Optimization: Research and implement new BIM technologies and workflows to improve efficiency

•   Development: Develop and Prepare the shop drawings on Revit program

•  Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, contractors, and other professionals involved to ensure smooth project execution

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that civil engineering designs comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and permitting requirements

•  Construction Oversight: Ensuring that drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations is essential to maintain safety and quality in mechanical engineering projects

Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering Work Experience
2 to 5 Years Technical / Functional Competencies
