• The role of a Retail Sales Representative involves establishing rapport and credibility with customers to assist them in purchasing products. The representative ensures thorough merchandising standards and stock availability to meet and exceed the expected sales targets by going above and beyond customer expectations.

• Conduct daily inspections of the assigned area to ensure proper availability and positioning of price labels, product information tags, and other communication media.
• Review stock levels daily and recommend orders to the Shopkeeper to ensure sufficient inventory.
• Coordinate with the Procurement Executive on stock-related information for the assigned area.
• Maintain focus on customer service by engaging with customers empathetically and based on IKEA values.
• Collect feedback through daily interactions with customers to understand their needs and act accordingly.
• Establish trust and confidence with customers by understanding and addressing their diverse needs.
• Assist customers in determining their requirements and prepare pro forma invoices as necessary.
• Stay in touch with customers about new or interesting inventory, and follow up on quotations to convert them into sales.
• Encourage team members to proactively meet customer needs and improve the services offered.
• Promote product sales by identifying opportunities, suggesting add-on sales, and striving to meet sales targets.
• Suggest improvements for slow-moving items and sales strategies to supervisors.
• Maintain attractive product displays according to company merchandising standards.
• Possess expert knowledge of the Home Furnishing Business (HFB) product range.
• Stay informed of local market developments, advertising campaigns, and promotions to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Stay updated on changes in the product range and communicate customer feedback and gaps in the product line to the Sales Manager.

• Proactivity and initiative in engaging customers and enhancing sales.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a good command of English and preferably Arabic.
• Sales-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate personal leadership.

• Secondary education is required.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
• Experience in customer service with strong interpersonal communication skills.
