Accounting Team Lead
to join our Finance team and help shape the backbone of our operations.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves working with numbers, and is ready to take ownership of financial excellence at Bird Nest.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions across multiple entities.
  • Oversee monthly and yearly closing processes — including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packs.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure proper filings and compliance.
  • Support the Finance Controller in preparing consolidated financial statements and management reports for strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop junior accountants, fostering a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7 years
    of progressive accounting experience, ideally within startups or fast-growing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in
    Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    .
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent command of
    English and Arabic
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS)
    and familiarity with
    IFRS
    .
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software — experience with
    Odoo
    is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
