Job Description – Procurement Officer (Local & International)

Job Title

Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer

Job Objective

To source, negotiate, and procure products both locally and internationally on behalf of the company and its contracted partners, ensuring the best prices, quality, and compliance with delivery timelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

Research and identify international product sources and suppliers (Europe, USA, China, Gulf region, etc.).

Communicate with suppliers, request quotations (RFQs), and compare alternatives.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions.

Follow up on shipping, customs clearance, and coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics companies.

Prepare purchase orders (POs) and monitor them until final delivery.

Ensure that products meet the required specifications and contract terms.

Monitor the market to identify new suppliers and emerging technologies.

Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and costs.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in international procurement.

Demonstrated experience in import and customs clearance within Saudi Arabia.

Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) to communicate with international suppliers.

Knowledge of procurement systems and contract regulations in Saudi Arabia.

Ability to work with ERP systems or procurement software.

Strong negotiation and offer analysis skills.

Accuracy in follow-up and ability to work under pressure.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain / Logistics or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CIPS or equivalent are preferred.
