Reports to:

Group's Business Consultant

Mission Critical Objective:

To drive an immediate and substantial increase in export revenue, achieving and exceeding trargets, establishing a scalable framework.

Key Responsibilities (Daily/Weekly Tasks):

  • Strategic Market Penetration:
     Identify, target, and secure new distribution partners and key accounts in priority international markets (e.g., EU, North America, East Asia, GCC).
  • Deal Closing:
     Lead end-to-end negotiations for high-value contracts ($250k - $1M+), from initial contact to signed distribution agreements.
  • Relationship Management:
     Serve as the primary point of contact for major international accounts, ensuring relationship strength and managing growth expectations.
  • Pipeline Management:
     Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, providing weekly forecasts and progress reports directly to the Group Business Consultant.
  • Market Intelligence:
     Conduct analysis on competitor activity, pricing, and consumer trends to inform our product and market strategy.
  • Cross-functional Leadership:
     Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, and R&D teams to ensure flawless execution of export orders and develop market-specific adaptations.

Candidate Requirements (The Non-Negotiables):

  • Proven Track Record:
     Minimum 5-7 years of experience in international sales/business development within the FMCG sector, specifically in confectionery, snacks, or premium food/beverage.
  • Network:
     An existing "black book" of contacts with major international retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. (e.g., Walmart, Carrefour, Tesco, Lulu Hypermarket, etc., or their relevant buyers).
  • Quantifiable Success:
     Demonstrable history of achieving and exceeding multi-million dollar sales targets. Must be able to discuss specific deals and growth figures.
  • Export Savvy:
     In-depth knowledge of international trade documentation, incoterms, food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000), and logistics.
  • Negotiator:
     Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Driver:
     Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment. Ability to start immediately is a significant advantage.
