*A big hospital chain is looking for learning and development Specialist as follows:

*Main tasks and duties:

  • Design and develop training programs that address the specific needs of clinical, medical, and administrative staff.
  • Create content for in-person and online training, workshops, and seminars that support continuous improvement and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Tailor training materials to different learning styles and skill levels, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are familiar with hospital policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all new employees undergo mandatory compliance, safety, and patient care training during their first few weeks.
  • Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with department heads to identify skills gaps and development needs across the organization.
  • Use surveys, interviews, and data to determine the learning priorities of the hospital workforce.
  • Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions on various topics, such as compliance, patient care, leadership, communication, and technology systems.
  • Ensure that training materials and delivery methods are aligned with hospital objectives, policies, and industry standards.
  • Promote and support interdepartmental collaboration through cross-training and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback surveys, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare regular reports to senior leadership on training outcomes, employee development progress, and compliance status.
  • Implement improvements to training programs based on evaluation results and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field (required).
  • Certification in Learning and Development (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-CP, or similar) is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in training, learning and development, or HR within a healthcare setting (preferred).
  • Experience with healthcare compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA) is highly desirable.
