Dynamics 365 (Finance and Operations) Techno-functional Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of deep functional process knowledge with the technical proficiency to customize and extend the D365 F&O platform.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Delivery: Lead and contribute to all phases of implementation, support, and upgrade projects – from discovery, requirements gathering, and Fit-Gap analysis to configuration, development, testing, data migration, and deployment.
• Client Engagement & Consulting: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients. Conduct workshops with business stakeholders, demonstrate solutions, and manage expectations with a professional demeanor.
• Functional Solution Design & Configuration:
• Configure and implement core F&O modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, Procurement & Sourcing, and Inventory Management.
• Map and optimize end-to-end business process flows for finance, operations, and supply chain.
• Technical Development & Customization:
• Design, develop, and test technical solutions using X++, Visual Studio, and the D365 F&O development toolset.
• Configure dual-write environments, for customization with PowerApps.
• Create and extend Data Entities for data management and migration.
• Ability to create custom forms and workflows.
• Develop integrations using OData, REST APIs, and Azure Logic Apps.
• Write advanced SQL queries for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Work with PowerPlatform, Dataverse and PowerApps.
• Reporting & Analytics: Develop ER or SSRS reports and leverage the Power Platform (Power BI) for advanced analytics and dashboards.
• Data Migration: Design and execute data migration strategies using Data Management Framework (DMF)/AXMF, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), or other ETL tools.
• Support & Documentation: Provide high-level techno-functional support. Create comprehensive documentation including Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Technical Design Documents (TDDs), and User Training Manuals.
• Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Mentor junior team members, contribute to pre-sales activities and demonstrations, and stay current on the latest Dynamics 365 F&O updates and technologies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Development, Support, and End-to-End Implementation projects with Dynamics 365 F&O (or its predecessor, AX).
• Functional Proficiency:
• Must Have: Deep functional knowledge and implementation experience in core financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Budgeting) and at least one supply chain module (Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing).
• Must Have: Proven experience conducting Fit-Gap analysis, designing process flows, and configuring F&O to meet business requirements.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Must Have: Strong hands-on development experience with X++ within the Visual Studio environment for D365 F&O.
• Must Have: Experience with the Data Management Framework for data migration.
• Strong knowledge of integration techniques (OData, REST APIs) and familiarity with Azure services for integration (Logic Apps, Service Bus).
• Experience with SSRS reporting and Power BI is highly advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MB-300: Microsoft Dynamics 365: Core Finance and Operations, MB-310: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, etc.).
• Experience with Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps for project and code management, including new deployments via PowerPlatform Admin Center.
• Knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) for extending F&O solutions.
• Experience in specific industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, or Professional Services.
