Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Techno Functional Developer with strong proficiency in X++, workflow design, and hands-on experience with legacy Microsoft ERP systems such as Dynamics GP and AX 2012. The ideal candidate will support ongoing customizations, build new features, integrate modules, and assist in system migrations and upgrades to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain customizations in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations using X++ and extension models.
  • Create and modify workflows, business logic, batch jobs, and data entities.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshoot performance or functional issues.
  • Assist in migration from Dynamics GP or AX 2012 to D365 FO, including data mapping and transformation logic.
  • Integrate third-party applications and external systems via OData, APIs, or custom services.
  • Create SSRS reports, forms, and custom dashboards as required.
  • Participate in application lifecycle management (ALM), including builds and deployments via Azure DevOps.
  • Support system upgrades, hotfixes, and patch testing.
  • Maintain documentation and provide technical training to junior developers or power users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in Dynamics development, including X++ in AX 2012 and D365 FO.
  • Strong knowledge of D365 FO architecture, data entities, and extension frameworks.
  • Experience in designing and implementing workflows and custom business processes.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics GP and AX 2012 database structure and custom modules.
  • Proficient in debugging, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps, version control (Git), and deployment pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power Platform, Power Automate, or custom connectors for D365.
  • Exposure to Data Management Framework (DMF), OData, and dual-write scenarios.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, SSRS, and integration techniques (AIF, eConnect, etc.).
  • Functional understanding of finance, supply chain, or HR modules in D365.
  • Experience working in agile project environments.

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics GP or AX Functional/Technical Training
  • X++ Development Bootcamp or Advanced AX Development
  • Power Platform Developer Training (optional but preferred)
  • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) – helpful for working in cloud-hosted environments
