About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with strong experience in Kuwait or the broader GCC region. The ideal candidate will lead the financial strategy of the company, oversee all financial operations, and provide executive guidance to support growth, profitability, and compliance. This role requires extensive expertise in corporate finance, budgeting, cash-flow management, contracting, and financial governance within the construction, fit-out, or engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's overall financial strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and cash-flow management.
  • Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements, and GCC financial regulations.
  • Review financial statements, monthly closings, and performance reports, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Develop financial models, feasibility studies, and investment analyses for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Manage banking relationships, funding arrangements, and credit facilities.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and risk management procedures.
  • Provide strategic insights to the CEO and executive team to support decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Oversee procurement financial approvals, contract reviews, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and operational excellence.
  • Support audits, due diligence processes, and financial reporting for stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA/ACCA preferred).
  • Minimum 10–15 years of financial management experience, including proven work experience in Kuwait or the GCC.
  • Solid background in construction, contracting, real estate development, or fit-out sectors is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a strategic and business-oriented mindset.
  • Advanced experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Excellent knowledge of GCC financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance frameworks.
  • High proficiency in MS Office 365, especially Excel for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board levels.
