Dr. Greiche for Glass Industries, the leading glass processing company in the Middle East and Africa, is looking for a Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team at our manufacturing facility.

Job Purpose:

To manage and execute procurement activities efficiently, ensuring timely availability of materials and equipment required for production. The role demands strong technical understanding, supplier management, and alignment with the company's quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify material and equipment requirements based on production plans and technical specifications.
  • Review and analyze technical specifications to ensure procurement accuracy and alignment with manufacturing needs.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.
  • Issue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and technical teams to support seamless manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international supplier markets.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
