Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Overview:

The CFO is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial planning, analysis, and strategy. A key responsibility will include managing inventory and stock control, ensure accurate financial reporting of stock levels, and collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize stock management processes. The CFO will be instrumental in aligning financial performance with business goals, while ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.

- Provide in-depth financial insights, analysis, and projections to the executive team and Board of Directors.

- Lead the annual budgeting process and develop long-term financial plans that align with OrthoHouse's strategic goals.

1. Treasury and Cash Management:

- Oversee treasury operations, ensuring effective cash flow management and optimization.

- Maintain robust banking relationships and manage multiple bank accounts.

- Ensure the company's liquidity and develop and manage investment strategies to maximize returns.

1. Accounting and Financial Reporting:

- Supervise all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and dissemination of financial reports in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

• Lead and manage all financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the CEO

• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

• Manage cash flow and liquidity and oversee treasury functions.

• Ensure the accuracy of financial documents and statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow.

• Oversee internal audits and manage external audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

• Develop financial strategies that support business objectives, especially related to stock management.

• Implement cost-control measures.

1. Warehouse and Inventory Management:

- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure efficient warehouse and inventory management practices.

- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.

- Oversee the valuation and reporting of inventory, ensuring accurate reflection of inventory value in financial statements.

• Oversee the financial aspects of inventory and stock management, including valuation, stock turnover, and replenishment strategies.

• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and operations teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained, minimizing waste and ensuring availability.

• Implement financial controls for stock, including tracking and reconciling physical and digital inventory records.

• Monitor inventory costs, including raw materials and finished goods, and provide insights for cost optimization.

• Ensure accurate financial reporting of inventory for end-of-year accounts, audits, and compliance purposes.

1. Risk Management and Compliance:

- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the implementation of robust internal controls.

- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and statutory requirements, including tax filings and audits.

- Oversee internal and external audits, addressing findings and implementing recommendations as necessary.

Assess financial risks, particularly around inventory depreciation, shrinkage, and obsolescence, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

- Provide regular feedback, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure team growth and retention.

- Promote a collaborative and inclusive working environment across departments.

1. Stakeholder Engagement: 

- Prepare and present comprehensive financial results, forecasts, and strategies to the CEO.

- Support investor relations activities, including the preparation of investor presentations and communications.
