Job purpose:

The purpose of this role is to lead and oversee the planning, design, development, and execution of comprehensive performance testing strategies to ensure applications meet defined scalability, reliability, and response time criteria. The Performance Test Lead provides technical guidance and mentorship to less senior test engineering team members, establishing best practices in load modelling, test automation, performance monitoring, and analysis. This role collaborates closely with development, QA, and operations teams to identify performance bottlenecks, optimize system performance, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions aligned within Geidea' s company objectives.

Key accountabilities

  • Train team members
  • Define and maintain a comprehensive performance test coverage model aligned with business-critical scenarios.
  • Lead the identification and resolution of systemic performance issues across platforms and releases.
  • Own technical decisions related to tuning parameters, architectural recommendations, and escalation paths for unresolved performance issues.
  • Establish robust performance baselines, thresholds, and reporting frameworks for accurate defect detection and triage.
  • Own the performance acceptance criteria and final sign-off authority for release readiness from a performance perspective.
  • Drive end-to-end integration of performance testing into DevOps processes to support continuous performance validation.
  • Own the architecture and toolchain decisions for performance automation within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Ensure needed reporting for each squad is ready

Must have qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience, 1-2 years in a lead role in test leading, 4-5+ years of experience in Performance Test management & execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or computer science
  • ISTQB certification is preferred
  • Detail oriented with extensive knowledge in documentation
  • Fin-Tech background is preferred
  • Experience in performance testing is preferred
  • Knowledge of programming principles
  • Experience in using Jira, Postman, swagger, Selenium, JMeter, mobile testing tools
  • Experience in manual and automation testing
  • Experience in Front-end and Back-end testing
  • Full understanding of Agile methodology
