Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced
Automation Test Lead
with
8+ years of experience
in software quality assurance and test automation. The role involves leading automation strategy, designing scalable test frameworks, mentoring QA engineers, and ensuring high-quality releases across web and API platforms using tools such as
Playwright and Selenium
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the
    test automation strategy
    , roadmap, and execution across projects
  • Design, develop, and maintain
    robust automation frameworks
    using
    Playwright, Selenium, and related tools
  • Define automation standards, best practices, and coding guidelines
  • Review test scripts, ensure reusability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Collaborate closely with
    developers, product owners, and DevOps teams
  • Integrate automation suites with
    CI/CD pipelines
  • Analyze test results, identify quality risks, and drive defect resolution
  • Mentor and guide automation and manual QA engineers
  • Participate in
    test planning, estimation, and release readiness activities
  • Ensure adequate test coverage across
    UI, API, regression, and performance tests

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years
    of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation
  • Strong hands-on experience with
    Playwright and Selenium
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#)
  • Solid understanding of
    test automation frameworks
    and design patterns
  • Experience with
    API testing
    (Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools)
  • Strong knowledge of
    CI/CD tools
    (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Experience with
    version control systems
    (Git)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring QA teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    BDD frameworks
    (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
  • Exposure to
    performance testing tools
    (JMeter, Gatling, etc.)
  • Experience with
    cloud environments
    (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications
