As a Senior
Fit Out Engineer – Architecture
, you will play a key role in supervising and managing the technical and execution aspects of architectural fit-out works. This position involves site supervision, detailed review of drawings, coordination with various disciplines, resolving technical issues, and ensuring that all fit-out works are completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Candidates must also have hands-on experience in
interior design
and previous work on
mall projects
.

Key Responsibilities

Fit Out Shop Drawing Management

  • Review fit-out architectural shop drawings and ensure compliance with design intent and project specifications.
  • Maintain and update the shop drawing log before submission to the consultant.
  • Coordinate with the technical office to align fit-out drawings with overall architectural design.

Site Supervision & Execution

  • Conduct daily supervision of all fit-out works to ensure proper execution according to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect materials delivered to site and ensure they meet quality standards and approved submittals.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and highlight any delays or technical issues.

RFI (Request for Information) Preparation

  • Identify unclear, missing, or conflicting information in drawings.
  • Prepare RFIs and follow up with the consultant to obtain clarifications.
  • Ensure resolutions are implemented correctly on-site.

Subcontractor Shop Drawing Review

  • Review and approve fit-out shop drawings submitted by subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with the consultant to resolve discrepancies or technical concerns.
  • Ensure subcontractors' work aligns with project requirements and design intent.

Technical Issue Resolution

  • Participate in resolving unforeseen technical challenges during construction.
  • Report issues to the Project Manager or Technical Office Manager and propose appropriate solutions.

As-Built Drawings

  • Prepare accurate architectural as-built drawings for all completed fit-out works.
  • Submit finalized as-built documents to the consultant for approval and record keeping.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all fit-out works comply with project standards, specifications, codes, and design guidelines.
  • Conduct regular site checks to ensure proper implementation and high-quality finishes.

Construction & Interior Details Preparation

  • Prepare detailed construction and interior design drawings required for ceilings, flooring, partitions, wall finishes, joinery works, and other architectural elements.
  • Ensure clarity, precision, and constructability of details.

Coordination with Other Disciplines

  • Coordinate continuously with MEP, civil, and other engineering teams.
  • Ensure proper integration between architectural fit-out works and other disciplines, especially in high-traffic mall environments.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering.
  • 5–7 years of experience
    in architectural fit-out works.
  • Previous experience in
    interior design
    and fit-out execution for
    mall projects
    is a must.
  • Proficiency in
    AutoCAD
    and other relevant design and technical software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
