Fit-Out Engineer – Maadi, Cairo

I am partnering with one of my clients — a leading
Design & Execution
firm based in
Maadi, Corniche, Cairo
— to recruit a
Fit-Out Engineer
with proven experience in high-end residential and commercial finishing projects.

The role focuses on overseeing the execution of interior works, ensuring that every design detail is accurately translated on-site, and coordinating across design, procurement, and construction teams to maintain quality and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and specify materials for each finishing item, offering quality and cost-effective alternatives that align with design intent.
  • Review and analyze material prices and subcontractor quotations, providing recommendations for cost-efficient decisions.
  • Coordinate closely with design, procurement, and site teams to resolve technical or material-related issues.
  • Prepare and review
    shop drawings, quantity take-offs, and material samples
    for approval.
  • Document and manage approved materials and continuously update the
    material library
    with new market innovations.
  • Monitor site progress against schedules, prepare progress reports, and ensure execution aligns with approved designs.
  • Review workmanship quality and finishing details to ensure full compliance with design standards.
  • Conduct site measurements, prepare snag lists, and oversee the final handover process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
    in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
  • 4–7 years of experience
    in interior finishing or fit-out works.
  • Strong technical knowledge of
    materials, detailing, and finishing methods
    .
  • Proficiency in
    AutoCAD and MS Office
    (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated experience in
    Design & Build
    or
    Turnkey
    project environments.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and time-management skills.
  • Strong sense of aesthetics, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
